UMPCs (Ultra mobile PCs) haven’t exactly made the splash that Microsoft has hoped they would, most notably because of the rather odd position they find themselves in, right between pocket PCs and 11 and 10 inch screen laptops. This Asus model is hardly the newest kid on the block, but the rather low cost of entry, $800 or so, makes it an appealing choice for the mobile individual who doesn’t really need a second computer but something sort of in between.
